LXXXIX. Żuk in Jack Strong

Since it is impossible for me to spend any time to work on the Żuk due to the pandemic crisis, here’s one more cinema-media related post. This one is about Jack Strong, a 2014 Polish political thriller film directed by Władysław Pasikowski, starring Marcin Dorociński, Maja Ostaszewska, Dagmara Dominczyk and Patrick Wilson. The film is based on the true story of Ryszard Kukliński, a Polish Army colonel who spied for the American Central Intelligence Agency during the height of the Cold War.

Action goes from the seventies to the begin of the nineties. I found no anachronism: all vehicles, uniforms, etc, seems historically correct to me.

Regarding vans, there are many ZSD Nysa, including inside view:

Żuk are more discrete but at least 3 different ones are visible:

Finally, there is a nice car chase in the snow, however possibly damaging for the involved vehicles, mostly Fiat 125p:

  1. Nice article! Great selection of shots, which makes me feel like I watch the movie with the nice details of the story. I too have felt the pain of Covid on the Zuk project.. for me it’s working on car at home, but soon be back to normal on the channel I hope.
